This is probably one of the better Jackie Chan DVD's that are released by Simitar. This DVD still suffers from the same problems as the other Simitar releases but not as much so.

The picture is passable. The film starts off letterboxed for the credits and it looks really good that way. The picture actually looks great. Unfortunately, it jumps to pan and scan when the credits are over. The good part is that the pan and scan isn't as awkward as some of the other movies reviewed here. There were some other movies where there were fights but you couldn't see anybody on the screen.

The sound is fair. Most of the sound seemed to come from the front speakers. The DVD gives a choice of either English or Cantonese soundtracks. There are no subtitles so I watched it dubbed in English. There is an audio dropout in the film so you can rest assured that it isn't your player acting funny.

The extras aren't too fancy. There aren't too many chapter stops and the interview is the same interview that is always shown on the DVD's. The filmographies and factoids won't really tell an old fan anything new but it may shed a little insight for somebody new to the genre.

Despite the DVD's shortcomings, I enjoyed the movie. The price is low enough where you wouldn't be saving too much by buying the VHS version. I am a little more lenient on these releases than I would be for other movies basically because they are generally cheaper to by. The same problems with a $30 import would be unacceptable but for $10 I can't complain.
