IN THE LINE OF DUTY III stars Cynthia Khan as a policewoman, Madam Yeung, who is assigned to watch a Japanese policeman, Inspector Okata (Hiroshi Fujioka) who is following his own case involving a jewel heist were his partner was killed by the two perpetrators. The bad guys, played by Stuart Ong and Michiko Nishiwaki, pull off the heist with deadly precision and absolutely no regard for anybody who stands in their way. The team is actually working with the designer of the jewelry. When they find out that they were swindled by the designer, they kill him to. By tracking the designer, Madam Yeung and Inspector Okata find the thieves and kill one of them. The remaining one and an accomplice vow revenge on Madam Yeung.
Cynthia Khan is great in this movie. My favorite part of her fights are the wall jumps she does onto her opponent. Michiko Nishiwaki is excellent as her female adversary. Her character is tough as nails when it comes to killing but she has soft spot for her partner. The villains are really nasty in this movie.

The video quality is pretty good. The print of the film doesn't look it's age. It is relatively free of specks and has no damage or splice marks. The colors are also good although at times they appear to be a little faded. The transfer is also well done with no artifacts.
I watched the movie with the Cantonese soundtrack. The levels were mixed well with the dialogue never getting drowned out by the music and sound effects. The rear speakers were used occasionally for ambient sound. Overall, the sound is about average and about the same as most imports.

The subtitles have very few grammatical and spelling errors. They are also easy to read throughout the movie. They do appear on the image of the movie and not the black bars so if you have a widescreen TV they will not be cutoff.
The extras consist of the usual Star's Files and trailers for YES, MADAM!, IN THE LINE OF DUTY IV, and IN THE LINE OF DUTY V.

IN THE LINE OF DUTY III is a good cop movie. The action scenes are great and there is just a touch comedy. If you are a fan of the movie, you'll want to get this DVD. If you haven't seen this movie, you may want to rent it before buying. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
