Magnificent Warriors is a non-stop action-fest featuring Michelle Yeoh. The film is set during World War II and Michelle is fighting off the Japanese Army which is trying to occupy a small town in order to build a chemical warfare plant. There is little if any downtime in this movie. Action fans as well as Michelle Yeoh fans will want to check this movie out.

The picture quality is great. Though not the quality picture of a major Hollywood release, this is a really good looking DVD. No dropouts, speckles or splices to be found. The picture quality was just as good as FULL CONTACT.
The sound was the usual 5.1 re-mix. I didn't notice anything special with the sound. I don't think the rear speakers are used at all. It was mixed well which is a definite plus. The dialogue was never drowned out by the sound effects.

The sound was synced pretty well with the action on the screen. I had watched the movie in Cantonese with the English sub-titles. The sub-titles were also in sync with what was said. These things are usually taken for granted but there are many DVD's that have bad sub-titles and out of sync sound.

The extras are very basic. It has chapter stops, filmogrophies and the trailer as well as the trailers for two other movies. The menus are pretty well done but the words are very small and hard to read. I had to get up and stand close to the TV to read the options.

I really enjoyed this movie and the DVD is really worth having if you are a Michelle Yeoh fan. Michelle gets a lot of screen time in this one. This one is highly recommended.
