NAKED
KILLER is the story of Chingmy Yau's character, Kitty, who after killing her
father's killer, is wanted by the police. While taking her vengeance, she is
wounded. Before the police can catch her, a hitwoman befriends her and together,
they setoff to kill "scumbags." Simon Yam portrays a cop who falls
in love with Kitty and gets caught up in the ensuing chaos between Kitty and
her rivals.
The
picture quality is decent. The opening credits seem a little blurry but still
readable. Some bright scenes look too bright, almost washed out. The rest of
the film is very watchable.
The sound is a Dolby 5.1 mix. All the sound comes from the
front speakers. The dialogue is never drowned out by the music or sound effects.
This
movie's only soundtrack is Cantonese the English subtitles are in sync with
what is spoken. Sometimes the subtitles are worded kind of strange but never
to the point of distraction.
The extras consist of the usual cast bios and filmogrophies
as well as a few trailers for the Black Cat movies and some others. Not much
in the way of extras.
The DVD quality for NAKED KILLER is about
average. The movie itself is very entertaining. The box says this DVD has
a huge cult following and I can see why. How many action-sex movies are there
were you can see a guy get stabbed in the crotch with a scissors or his head
smashed with two barbells? This is also the uncut version of the movie with
the soundtrack intact. If you are a fan of the movie, or of it's stars, this
is definitely worth having.
