ROYAL WARRIORS is a good action movie and if you are a fan of Michelle Yeoh you will definitely want to check this one out. Michelle Yeoh is a cop who helps thwart a highjacking. When the highjackers two friends hear of his demise, they vow revenge. Michelle teams up with with the Japanese Interpol Agent and air security officer that she aided to stop the two.

ROYAL WARRIORS features some great action scenes and is a must for any Michelle Yeoh fans. This movie is a classic and spawned the IN THE LINE OF DUTY series of films.

Universe does a good job on the picture quality. Sometimes the films seems slightly hazy but this appears to be due to the source print . The film definitely shows its age at times but not to the point of being distracting. The picture held its clarity in both bright and dark scenes without braking up.

The sound is the typical 5.1 re-mix complete with sounds that seem out of place. The punches and kicks lost something because of the sound. I would much rather have the original mono soundtrack. ROYAL WARRIORS is on the same level as the other DVD re-mixes.

I had watched the movie in Cantonese with the English subtitles. The subtitles had a few spelling and grammatical errors but nothing extremely bad. They seemed well timed with the dialogue and they were sized well.

The extras are very basic. It has chapter stops, filmography's and the trailer as well as the trailers for HEART OF DRAGON and MAGNIFICENT WARRIORS.

If you are a fan of Michelle Yeoh or a fan of this movie you should pick up the DVD. The picture is good and the sound is on par with Universe's other early releases. ROYAL WARRIORS is a really good action movie and definitely worth adding to your collection.
