SPIRITUAL
KUNG FU is a pretty entertaining movie. It's fun to watch. Jackie is taught
"The Five Style Fists" from ghosts and he must bring a traitor to
justice.
The picture quality is less than fair. It's watchable but
it looks like an EP video tape. The credits look like they were done over
because the picture is pan and scanned. As with the other Simitar releases,
there is little panning or scanning. This is especially apparent on this release
when characters who are talking are sometimes not on the screen. This is particularly
annoying during the fight scenes. This movie has a lot of fight scenes that
you can't tell who's fighting who.

The
sound isn't all that great either. The worst part is that it drops out completely
when there is a minute left of the movie!
The extras consist of a biography of Jackie Chan and an interview. The biography
is the same on all of the Simitar DVD's as is the interview. The interview
is interesting the first time you watch it but they put it on all of the DVD's
the release by him!
As with the other Simitar releases, you pretty much know
what you are in for when you buy these. I have a big problem when the sound
ends a minute before the movie. Isn't there quality control? The worst part
is that this movie is really fun to watch. The special effects are funny and
the ghosts are amusing. If you have a tape of this movie, I assure you, the
DVD could not possibly be better. I would actually buy this movie again if
I could find another version.
